As many of you know from our previous story, Michael Kopech was auctioning off his game used glove for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Unfortunately, due to false bids and people backing out, the White Sox prospect had to end the auction. After reaching out to him, he said he would likely have to hold on to his glove for the time being and donate the rest of the $17,000 he promised, himself. Since Sox On 35th is a huge supporter of cancer research, we decided to create an online fundraiser to help Michael out. The goal for the fundraiser remains at $17,000. Both Michael Kopech and Brielle Biermann have already made their contributions, totaling a combined $11,600. Now, it’s up to the rest of the South Side to do their part and help donate. We are calling on all Birmingham Baron and Chicago White Sox fans, players, reporters, baseball fans young and old, and anyone else out there to share the word and help raise money for this great cause. The amount of money raised will help in the fight against cancer and make a huge difference.
