On Friday, it was officially announced that outfielder Avisail Garcia had signed a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Rays. Garcia originally came to the South Side via trade in 2012 and spent six years with the organization. While he had plenty of ups and downs during his time with the team, Avi provided fans with some good memories. Here’s a look back at his top 10 moments with the Chicago White Sox.
10. New York Robbery
Avi Garcia stealing home runs is one thing all Sox fans will remember. Here’s the first of several robberies that made the list.
9. Walk-Off Hit-By-Pitch
Back in 2015, Avi ended things in the 11th with a walk-off hit-by-pitch.
8. Three Garcia’s Record an RBI
Avi Garcia, Willy Garcia, and Leury Garcia made history by becoming the first all-Garcia outfield during April 2017. Less than a month later, the trio each recorded an RBI in a 6-0 victory over the Kansas City Royals.
