Although the lineup failed to do its job, some notable White Sox pitchers impressed in Sunday’s 3-1 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. Erick Fedde made his first start of the season, allowing five baserunners in two innings but limiting the damage to one run. In relief, Garrett Crochet and Jordan Leasure shined, tossing three scoreless innings between them. Crochet allowed no hits or walks and struck out three, including Mike Trout and Anthony Rendon, in two innings. Later, Leasure fanned two and walked one in a scoreless frame.
Zach Remillard did the damage offensively, bashing a solo home run in the top of the third. Gavin Sheets was the only hitter to reach base twice, registering a walk and a single. Chicago falls to 3-8 on the spring campaign with the defeat.
