The White Sox fall to a familiar friend, Carlos Rodon, and the Giants in a 9-6 loss. Reynaldo Lopez got the start today, letting up one run and two hits in two innings of play. Eloy Jimenez was the star of the show for the South Siders today, going 2-2 with a home run off Rodon and a double later in the game. Dwight Smith Jr had himself a nice day with an RBI single and a solo home run. Jake Burger hit a two-run homer at the end of the game, and Tim Anderson also hit well in the lead-off spot, hitting two singles in three plate appearances.
Luis Robert, Jose Abreu, Adam Engel, Yoan Moncada, Gavin Sheets, and Aaron Bummer all made appearances for the White Sox today.
