Another injury bites the White Sox as they look to make up some ground in the AL Central.
Luis Robert left today’s game against the Tigers with a sprained left wrist. X-rays were negative, and he is considered day-to-day at this point.
The injury occurred as Robert was sliding into second base. He jammed it as Jonathan Schoop blocked the base with his leg as Robert was coming.
Robert was was 2-for-3 on the day and had raised his season average to .301 in the process. Since he is considered day-to-day at this point, the White Sox received good news in a sense. Hopefully, Robert is able to avoid much more than a 10-day IL stint.
We will let you know as more information becomes available.
