The White Sox struck for four consecutive home runs in the fifth inning en route to a 7-2 victory over the Cardinals. The feat has only been achieved nine other times in MLB history, and the White Sox were also the last American League team to do it (8/14/08). As for the pitching, Dallas Keuchel turned in another solid performance and cruised to his third victory. The White Sox improve to 11-11, while the Cardinals fall to 4-4.
W: Dallas Keuchel (3-2) | L: Dakota Hudson (0-2)
Notable Performances
Dallas Keuchel: 5.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 1 K
It feels like the same sentence is used after every Dallas Keuchel start, but this was a typical Dallas Keuchel start. He induced many ground balls, was quite efficient, and only allowed a couple of runs in his final inning of work. Given yesterday’s early deficit in game one, it was helpful to have Keuchel shut down the Cardinals’ lineup for the first five innings.
Eloy Jimenez: 2-for-4, HR, 2 RBI
Eloy Jimenez continued his hot streak, as he delivered yet another home run (the fourth consecutive home run for the White Sox). Jimenez also came through with an RBI single in the first inning.
Luis Robert: 0-for-2
While Robert was kept quiet at the plate, he made yet another impressive catch in center field.
Yoan Moncada, Yasmani Grandal, & Jose Abreu: Each 1 HR, 1 RBI (3 RBIs for Moncada)
As mentioned, the White Sox made history with four consecutive home runs in the fifth inning. They came courtesy of Moncada, Grandal, Abreu, and Jimenez.

Pretty easy to guess, right?
