A well-deserved honor is coming Luis Robert Jr’s way – he’s heading to Seattle.
The White Sox announced this afternoon that Luis Robert was named to the American League’s All-Star Roster for the 2023 All-Star Game in Seattle.
Robert will be the team’s only All-Star representative as of now.
Robert, 25, has enjoyed a breakout campaign that – not without its ups and downs – was more than deserving of a starting spot in the All-Star Game that fan voting did not give him. Entering Sunday afternoon’s game against the Athletics, Robert was hitting .276/.333/.574 with a 146 wRC+ and 3.7 fWAR – tied for third in all of baseball in terms of overall value. He also has a career-high 24 home runs and 46 RBIs in 344 plate appearances this year.
The All-Star Game will be played this year on July 11, so get ready to see Robert in action then!
Congratulations to Luis Robert Jr. – who has done his part to make the White Sox a better viewing experience this season.
