With the start of the White Sox regular season postponed due to coronavirus concerns, NBC Sports Chicago has decided to re-air 70 victories from the 2005 season from now until June. Here at Sox On 35th, we will also be following along and recapping those games for you in our Tale of the Tape series.
Date of Game: May 1, 2005
What a start to the season for Jon Garland! With this 8-0 White Sox victory, Garland improved to 5-0, with an incredible 1.38 ERA. This was just about the perfect all-around game by the Sox, as they got plenty off offense, another complete game out of the righty, and played an errorless game on defense. Their overall record improved to 18-7 thanks to the win.
