Happy Friday, Sox fans! While Ricky’s boys didn’t always deliver with their best performance this past week, the fine folks on Twitter did (as per usual).
Before we get to this week’s good stuff, I just want to congratulate Tom Borowski once again for winning our Tweet of the Month poll for August earlier this week. He earned 25.66% of the vote, followed by My Sox Summer with 15.27%, and Alyssa Bergamini rounding out the Top 3 with 14.1%. A special thank you to all who voted and shared the poll on social media!
Now, let’s dive into fresh batch of content, and take a look at this week’s top tweets!
Humor
This is where we encourage you to go for the laughs. Since this category is almost always going to be the most selective of the few, you’ve got to be on your A-game to land here.
Last week’s winner: My Sox Summer (@MySoxSummer)
Analysis
If you like to dive deep into the stats or make close observations about various aspects of the team, this is the category for you!
Last week’s winner: Tie between Josh Nelson (@SoxMachine_Josh) and Trevor Lines (@TLines2)
Passion, Pride, and Tradition
The root of what it means to be a member of the White Sox and a fan of the team. These are a collection of tweets that don’t necessarily check the box for our humor and analysis categories. Sometimes, they can be emotional takes about how we’re all feeling during a certain game. Other times, they can be as simple as a positive statement or a personal creation like a painting or graphic design. It’ll vary from week to week but I think you get the gist.
Last week’s winner: Iowa Zach (@IowaZach)
Verified Accounts
Pretty self-explanatory here. This category is reserved for your favorite verified accounts and media members.
Last week’s winner: White Sox Talk (@NBCSWhiteSox)
Finally, I just want to share one of our own tweets from the main Sox On 35th account. I received the below video in our DMs from Twitter user @C_Moneyyy3 of his gender reveal with his significant other. This is part of the awesome content that we receive from fans that makes what we do so enjoyable, so thank you and congratulations to the entire family involved!
As always, if you come across any tweets that you would like to submit for consideration, shoot me a DM or tag me on Twitter @JoeBinder.
See you back here on next Friday for another round!
