After two losses to open the 2023 Spring Training slate, the White Sox righted the ship in convincing fashion today with a 10-1 victory over the Seattle Mariners. To the delight of the Camelback Ranch crowd, Chicago racked up 23 total bases and 5 extra-base hits, including another Jake Burger homer. Eloy Jimenez, Andrew Vaughn, Yasmani Grandal, and Elvis Andrus all reached base twice.
Jesse Scholtens started on the mound and threw two innings of one-run ball, giving up just a homer to Evan White. In relief, Reynaldo Lopez, Matt Foster, and ninth-rated (MLB Pipeline) prospect Sean Burke were all notable, combining for four scoreless innings with just one base runner allowed.
