White Sox 6, Rockies 4: Offense Overcomes Lynn’s Struggles

by Sox On 35th Contributors

Lance Lynn’s second start of spring training was a rough one. In three innings, he gave up four earned runs – all coming in the third. After four-straight singles, the White Sox phoned the bullpen down by one.

However, the Pale Hose were able to generate offense on their own. Hanser Alberto led off the second inning with a triple, and Victor Reyes hit a sac fly, leading to the Sox’s first run of the game. Later in the inning, Leury Garcia hit a two-run home run. Alberto would get his second run of the game after a Jake Marisnick sac fly in the fourth.

The White Sox offense would take the go-ahead lead in the eighth inning and never looked back. Adam Haseley began the inning with a single and then stole second. Moises Castillo followed with a single, which moved Haseley to third. With runners on the corners and no outs, Haseley would score on a technical balk and Lenyn Sosa would later single in Castillo.
