In what should be a comforting sight to White Sox fans, the club has certainly brought the bats to their last two Spring Training games.
Led by two home runs from Zach Remillard, the offense had yet another great day at the plate. The lineup mostly consisted of players who are currently fighting to earn one of the few remaining roster spots, so it perhaps should come as no surprise that the offense once again provided a spark. Other notable performers included a home run by Erik Gonzalez and multi-hit efforts from Gavin Sheets and Jake Burger.
Lance Lynn got his final tune-up start of the Spring this evening, and he pitched pretty well across 4.2 innings. He struggled a bit in the first few frames but settled down to work into the sixth inning (after being relieved early in the second inning by Andrew Perez). Jimmy Lambert, Reynaldo Lopez, and Jose Ruiz were among those who had outings this evening, with all throwing scoreless appearances in their work.
With the victory, the White Sox are back at .500 at 12-12 in the Spring.
