Want tickets to MLB’s upcoming Field of Dreams game? Your chances are increasing.
Earlier this week, the White Sox sent out an email to season ticket holders containing a link to purchase exclusive tickets for the highly anticipated game. The MLB also announced around the same time that Iowa residents can enter in a similar fashion for a chance to attend. Since then, the Sox have added two more opportunities for all fans with entries now being accepted.
The first is a sweepstakes that provides a chance for three fans to win a pair of game tickets each. Each entry includes a $20 donation with multiple entries permitted. Major League Baseball Charities, Inc. has full discretion and control over the allocation and use of all proceeds, but will reportedly contribute the funds to Chicago White Sox Charities (CWSC) and Amateur City Elite (ACE), the team’s inner-city youth baseball program. Both are outstanding causes so this is an easy way to not only enter but also help those close to home.
The other opportunity involves an auction where fans can bid on a VIP experience that features four premium game tickets, a night at Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa in Galena, Illinois, and four commemorative Field of Dreams replica jerseys for the party. Just keep in mind that all winners will be responsible for their own transportation to the game. Like with the sweepstakes, proceeds will be going to the aforementioned causes.
Both the sweepstakes and the action have begun as of noon on Friday, July 23rd and will run until Thursday, August 5th at 9:00 p.m. Central Time. To enter, go to whitesox.com/fieldofdreams and click the corresponding links. All winners will be notified on Friday, August 6th.
