White Sox announce details for revamped SoxFest Live at Ramova

by Joe Binder

After months of waiting, we finally have details about SoxFest 2025.

As first reported by MLB.com’s Scott Merkin, the White Sox have revealed a new name, format, and location for their once-annual fan convention. Touted now as “SoxFest Live,” the gathering will take place on Friday and Saturday, January 24-25 at the Ramova Theatre in Bridgeport. The event is scheduled to run from 5-9 p.m. CT on both evenings, with an hour-long after-party planned as well.

“We were excited to bring it back and introduce a new concept,” White Sox senior director of public relations Sheena Quinn told Merkin. “When we were talking about the idea of SoxFest, we were like, ‘Let’s do it in a different way, let’s reimagine it.’ Let’s think of an experience that’s really going to give a way to connect with the White Sox organization, especially after such a difficult year.”

An official list of attendees for the event has yet to be released, though the team had this to say on their website:

“In addition to hearing from members of the 2025 White Sox clubhouse, new Manager Will Venable and the front office, fans will enjoy an evening on stage featuring entertaining programming centered around players and their personalities both on and off the field. Launching the season-long celebration of the White Sox 125th anniversary, the schedule will include special guests from some of the White Sox most memorable eras, including the 2005 World Series Championship team.”

General admission tickets for Friday and Saturday are listed on the team’s website at $56, with a premium package labeled as the MVP Experience priced at $225. The upgrade buys fans early entry to view the White Sox Black Carpet welcoming attendees ahead of the event, access to a premium lounge area, photo opportunities, a private meet and greet session, light appetizers, and four lower-level tickets to a select 2025 White Sox home game.

Here’s a simplified breakdown of both offerings:

In addition to the main event, there will be also a SoxFest Live After Party immediately following the show on both days. The hour-long reception is available as an add-on to the above packages and will include food and drinks, activities, and games alongside White Sox VIPs.

White Sox season ticket holders will have early access to an exclusive SoxFest Live presale beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 9 a.m. CT, with the remainder of passes going live to the public at noon that same day.

Sounds absolutely terrible. No hotel, no family activities, expect me to risk’s my family’s lives during a weekend on the south side. This organization is so out of touch with fans. Everything they touch turns to garbage. They’ll be lucky to keep any fans.

$56 for general admission?!!! This is nothing but another Ebenezer Reinsdorf cash grab.
