The bats were on fire once again tonight in Charlotte, but the Knights couldn’t quite hang on as they fell to the Tides 9-8. In a back-and-forth-run battle, the game was tied going into the ninth inning, but a Tides home run off Prelander Berroa cost Charlotte the game.
Highlights on offense included Danny Mendick’s home run to center field, Carlos Perez going 4-for-5, and Zach Remillard accumulating two clutch RBIs.
As for defense, starter Jonathan Cannon threw 4.2 innings with three earned runs.

Zach Remillard had great appearances at the plate tonight, first with a sacrifice fly to right field, then with a single on a line drive to center field, collecting two RBIs.
Carlos Perez : 4-for-5, R, RBI
The aforementioned Perez put together a four-hit night, raising his early-season average to .316.
