Low-A Kannapolis Cannon Ballers (0-2)
Jared Kelley made his professional debut this evening and it wasn’t the cleanest of outings. The 19-year-old struggled with his command and was eventually yanked after back-to-back walks in the first. The Cannon Ballers would rally and erase a six-run deficit with half a dozen in the third and one run in the fourth. The slim lead just wasn’t enough as the Wood Ducks almost immediately tied it an inning later before regaining it for good late in the ninth.
