The White Sox made a pair of roster moves ahead of tonight’s game vs. Texas.
The team placed left-handed pitcher Garrett Crochet on the 15-day injured list (retroactive to June 17) with left shoulder inflammation and returned right-hander Jimmy Lambert from his injury rehabilitation assignment at Class AAA Charlotte and reinstated him from the 15-day injured list.
Lambert, 28, was placed on the injured list on May 29 (retro to May 28) with right ankle inflammation. He made four appearances with Charlotte on his rehab assignment, where he threw 3.1 IP, surrendered five earned runs, struck out three, and walked four batters. Lambert has a 2-1 record with a 5.91 ERA (14 ER/21.1 IP), three holds, and 24 strikeouts over 23 games (one start) with the White Sox this season.
Crochet, who turns 24 tomorrow, is 0-1 with a 3.60 ERA (4 ER/10.0 IP) and nine strikeouts in 10 appearances this season since being reinstated from the injured list on May 16. The team has not given a timetable for his return.
