The White Sox have reportedly added a pair of international free agents.
According to MLB.com’s transaction tracker, the club has agreed to terms with right-handed pitchers Ronny Robles and Jose Mendoza on minor league contracts. Both players signed their deals on Monday, December 6th, and have since been assigned to the DSL White Sox.
Mendoza, 17, is the youngest of the two and is listed as having a 6’2″, 175-pound frame. Robles, 20, is nearly identical with a 6″2″, 180-pound build. Unfortunately, there is a lack of additional information available, signaling to us that neither player has appeared in an organization previously.
