Soria posted a record of 0-3 with a 2.56 ERA while recording 16 saves over 38.2 innings pitched during his time with the White Sox. He will help stabilize the Brewers bullpen as they compete for a playoff spot down the stretch.
In return, the White Sox landed minor league pitchers Kodi Medeiros and Wilber Perez. Left-handed starter Medeiros owns a 7-5 record and 3.14 ERA in 103.1 innings pitched (20 games) for AA Biloxi so far this season. Right-hander Wilber Perez carries a 5-1 record and 2.01 ERA in 40.1 innings (8 games) through his time in the Dominican Summer League.
With Soria gone, the White Sox may now look to move relief pitchers Xavier Cedeno and Luis Avilan to teams seeking bullpen help.
