- Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports that Manny Machado is planning on doing a free agency tour to visit each interested team in their respective city.

- Jon Heyman of Fancred reports that there are three mystery teams who are “in” on Manny Machado besides the Yankees, White Sox, and Phillies
Manny Machado was reputed to have three mystery teams interested (beyond known yankees, phils, chisox), and he may well have. But no one seems to know who they are (that’s why they are a mystery?!) there are skeptics. One exec opined: “He’ll get paid but the market is limited.”

- Jon Heyman also reports that the Yankees are unlikely to pay Manny Machado $300 million, per a source. Despite this rumor, the team is still seen as a serious contender and have not ruled him out of play.
Yankees like Manny Machado and will meet with Machado but source says they will not pay $300M for Machado. Phillies, Chisox and mystery teams(?) seen as main competitors.

- Sticking with the Yankees, GM Brian Cashman said that Bryce Harper is not a fit for the club.
Brian Cashman indicated that Bryce Harper isn’t a fit for the #Yankees. Said the team already has six outfielders and that playing Harper at first base isn’t realistic.

NEWS:
- Chuck Garfien of NBC Sports Chicago reports that the White Sox have promoted Omar Vizquel to manage the Double-A Birmingham Barons in 2019. This comes after Vizquel earned the Carolina League’s Manager of the Year honors in his first season as a manager with the High-A Winston-Salem Dash. This was the first team Vizquel managed at any level and he led them to a first-half title and 84-54 overall record.
- The White Sox signed free agent 2B Ryan Goins to a minor league deal with an invite to Spring Training. Goins played 41 games with the Kansas City Royals in 2018, hitting .226 with 6 RBI and a .252 OBP.
