- In addition to this, Bob Nightengale of USA Today wrote earlier in the day that the Philadelphia Phillies have become the “clear-cut favorite” for Bryce Harper after a 5-hour meeting with him on Saturday. Nightengale also added that barring any unexpected developments in negotiations, it appears that Bryce Harper will be heading to Philadelphia and Manny Machado will be going to the White Sox.
